Wiki:

"Say It Ain't So" is the third single by American rock band Weezer, released in 1994 as both a single and as a part of their debut album, The Blue Album. Written (like most Weezer songs) by front man Rivers Cuomo, the song came to be after he had all the music finished and one line, "Say it ain't so". Cuomo made a connection to an incident in high school where he came home and saw a bottle of his step dads beer in the fridge. Before that his parents divorced when he was four because his dad was an alcoholic. The song is featured on the music video game Rock Band as a playable track. In 2008, the song was ranked #72 on Rolling Stone's "The 100 Greatest Guitar Songs of All Time."

[Intro] Oh yeah... Alright... [Verse 1] Somebody's Heine is crowding my icebox Somebody's cold one is giving me chills Guess I'll just close my eyes [Pre-Chorus] Oh yeah, alright... Feels good inside... [Verse 2] Flip on the telly, wrestle with Jimmy Something is bubbling behind my back The bottle is ready to blow [Chorus] Say it ain't so, your drug is a heartbreaker Say it ain't so, my love is a life taker [Verse 3] I can't confront you, I never could do That which might hurt you, so try and be cool When I say, "this way is a water slide away from me That takes you further every day," so be cool [Chorus] Say it ain't so, your drug is a heartbreaker Say it ain't so, my love is a life taker [Bridge] Dear daddy, I write you, in spite of years of silence You've cleaned up, found Jesus, things are good, or so I hear This bottle of Stephen's awakens ancient feelings Like father, stepfather, the son is drowning in the flood Yeah, yeah-yeah, yeah-yeah! [Guitar Solo] [Chorus] Say it ain't so, your drug is a heartbreaker Say it ain't so, my love is a life taker
