Awake

“Awake” is the first single from Tycho’s new LP out next year, and although Hansen still traffics in meticulously arranged guitar lines, this time the guitars take the lead instead of languishing in the background. Three different tonal patterns weave between each other with the symmetry of a double helix, with just enough white noise in the background for texture. Bright and clear, “Awake” is appropriately named and signals a promising development in Tycho's musical style.
