Wiki:

Kirisute Gomen is the first of the three releases from Trivium's album Shogun. It was made available as a free digital download through the Roadrunner Records website for 24 hours on July 31, 2008 (2008-07-31). The phrase "Kirisute Gomen" is of Japanese origin, meaning “authorization to cut and leave.” A more interpretive translation would be “right to strike”. A samurai had the right to kill with a sword anyone of a lower rank if the samurai percieved that they infringed on his honor. The opening part in the song is played by acoustic guitars, the chord progression in the song is very similar to a vocal line in the song "Shogun".
