Bridges to Babylon (1997)

Wiki:

“Anybody Seen My Baby?” is the first single off Bridges to Babylon, and a typical song of that era. It features wide-ranging inspirations, including sampling of hip-hop artist Biz Markie, making it one of the few songs by The Rolling Stones to include sampling (Bridges to Babylon is the only Rolling Stones album to include sampling). Once Keith Richards discovered through his daughter the chorus was too similar to K.D. Lang’s “Constant Craving”, he decided to give her a writing credit, to which she was flattered. The music video was shot in the streets of New York City by Samuel Bayer, and features a sexy young woman dressed in a basque and a long black coat who happens to be none other than a 22 year-old Angelina Jolie.

Anybody Seen My Baby Lyrics The Rolling Stones [Verse 1] She confessed her love to me Then she vanished On the breeze Trying to hold on to that Was just impossible She was more than beautiful Closer to ethereal With a kind of Down to earth flavor Close my eyes It's three in the afternoon Then I realize That she's really Gone for good [Chorus] Anybody seen my baby Anybody seen her around Love has gone And made me blind I've looked but I just can't find She has gotten lost In the crowd [Verse 2] I was flippin' magazines In that place on Mercer Street When I thought I spotted her Getting on a motor bike Looking rather lady like Didn't she just give me a wave? Salty tears It's three in the afternoon Has she disappeared Is she really gone for good [Chorus][x2] [Verse 3] Lost, lost and never found I must have called her A thousand times Sometimes I think She's just in my imagination [Outro] Lost in the crowd Produced By Don Was, Dust Brothers, Mick Jagger & Keith Richards Written By Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, k.d. lang & Ben Mink Guitar Ron Wood, Keith Richards & Waddy Wachtel Bass Jamie Muhoberac Keyboards Jamie Muhoberac & Don Was Backing Vocals Keith Richards & Bernard Fowler Shaker Blondie Chaplin Vocals Mick Jagger Drums Charlie Watts Recorded At Ocean Way Recording, Los Angeles, California Release Date September 22, 1997
