This is Black Crowes' version of the original by Otis Redding. The sixth track on The Black Crowes‘ 1990 album Shake Your Money Maker, and one of the singles from the album. “Hard to Handle” is a blues rock cover version of the soul song originally made by Otis Redding and written by Redding, Al Bell and Allen Jones. It became a famous song in its own right (perhaps moreso than the original), charting #1 on the Billboard Album Rock Tracks chart and #26 on the Billboard Hot 100.
