"Whatever You Like" is the first official single off T.I.'s Paper Trail according to his official website trapmuzik.com. It was released on T.I's Myspace page on July 16, 2008. "Whatever You Like" was produced by Jim Jonsin, the producer of Lil' Wayne's song "Lollipop". Both songs have similar elements including the lead synthesizers, drum pattern, and overall simplicity of the beat. The song also contains a sample from "Redemption" by Bill Conti, the opening and closing theme song from the film Rocky II. In a live appearance on the 2008 MTV Video Music in the awards, T.I. escorted a beautiful woman through several active sets at the Paramount Studios while performing the song .
