From 1968 album 'They Call Me Country' Sanford Clark (born October 24, 1935, Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA – died July 4, 2021, Joplin, Missouri, USA) was an American country-rockabilly singer and guitarist. Clark found fleeting fame with his rendition of the Lee Hazlewood-penned song "The Fool" in 1956.
