Saturday Satan

Saturday Satan by Powerwolf was released on Metal Blade Records May 7, 2007, and was recorded January 2007 at SU2 Studio in Illingen, Germany. In response to a question about the song name in a Metalist interview, keyboardist/organist Falk Maria Shlegel said: "One day our guitarist found a flyer of a religious group in his mailbox. They cautioned against Satan, who takes possession of the young girls, when they are visiting rock concerts on Saturday. We decided to make a song about that: the young people should be careful otherwise Satan will eat their souls for breakfast, ha, ha." In the same article, Falk mentions that the album containing the song Saturday Satan, Lupus Dei, is a concept album about metal and religion and that Saturday Satan is the part of the storyline where the "Wolf of God," who has been infiltrated by evil spirits, hunts for souls as the devil in disguise.
