"vampire" is the lead single from Olivia Rodrigo's sophomore studio album, GUTS. It was released June 30, 2023. The song has Olivia describe the time she spent with a boy, and how he took advantage of her, lied to her and ultimately used her. This is created through the metaphorical use of the “vampire” throughout the lyrics, title and cover art as he has taken a toll on her and suggests he harmed her physically through the band-aid in the cover art. The single was released physically on CD and 7" vinyl with a demo version included.
