Bad Moon Rising was released in 1969 by Creedence Clearwater Revival. The track was written by John Fogerty and was the lead single from their album Green River .The track reached #2 on the Billboard hot 100 singles chart and #1 on the UK singles chart for three weeks in September 1969.
