Crank It Up is the second single from the album Guilty Pleasure. The song will be released on October 16, 2009 in Germany in radios and digital download, on October 17, 2009 in the rest of Europe .The song contains Contemporany RnB and electronic elements and use the Auto-tune effect. The song is included as bonus track in the international standard edition of the album. The physical single is going to be released on the same day of the European release and will also include the non-album tracks "Time's Up" and "Blame it on the Beat" The song contained the vocals in the chorus by the Swedish rapper David Jassy. Digital Spy said that the song is a shamelessly rips off Britney Spears's robopop sound, right down to the Spears-aping vocals. The song is included in the German compilation album Popstar Hits and she performed the song on the German reality show Popstars. The music video was shooting on the week of September 28, 2009 on Los Angeles, Estados Unidos and was premiered for the music channel VIVA Germany on October 5, 2009, and via MySpace for United States on October 6, 2009
